Frequently Asked Questions

What is BHRT and how does it work?

BHRT, or bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, is a treatment used to help balance hormone levels when they decline or become disrupted. By restoring certain hormones to more optimal levels, BHRT may help improve symptoms such as fatigue, mood changes, low libido, sleep issues, and other signs of hormonal imbalance. Bioidentical hormones differ from previously used HRT (hormone replacement therapy) because BHRT are molecularly identical to the human body’s hormones. HRT are chemically altered, synthetic hormones that are not identical to the human body’s hormones.

Peptide therapy can be safe when the treatment is appropriate, medically supervised, and sourced through properly regulated channels. But safety depends on the specific peptide, your health history, and how the product is made and prescribed. Unapproved or improperly sourced peptide products can carry real risks, so treatment should always be discussed with a qualified medical provider.

Results vary by treatment and by patient, but many people begin noticing some changes within a few weeks, while more significant results often develop over several weeks to a few months. Your timeline will depend on your starting point, lab findings, treatment plan, and how your body responds over time. Patient dedication to change is the utmost important factor in results.

Lab testing is recommended because it helps us better understand your hormone levels, metabolic health, and overall wellness before starting treatment. It is necessary to guide safe, personalized care. Your provider will determine what testing is appropriate based on your symptoms and goals.

The best way to know if treatment is right for you is through a consultation that reviews your symptoms, health history, goals, and any potential risks. Because hormone and weight-loss treatments are not one-size-fits-all and may not be appropriate for everyone, your care plan should be personalized to your needs.

Do I need a consultation before starting treatment?

Yes. A consultation is an important first step because it allows your provider to review your symptoms, health history, goals, and any potential risks before recommending treatment. This helps ensure your care plan is safe, appropriate, and personalized to your needs.

Yes. Ongoing follow-up is often an important part of care so your provider can monitor your progress, review how you are responding to treatment, and make adjustments as needed. Regular follow-ups also help support safety, accountability, and long-term results.

No, we do not accept insurance, as our practice is designed around a concierge-based model of personalized care. Specialty labs, BHRT, peptides, and most weight loss medications are also typically not covered by insurance.

Yes, we accept FSA and HSA payments for eligible services and products. Coverage and eligibility can vary by plan, so we encourage patients to verify qualified expenses with their FSA/HSA administrator before treatment.

Springtide Medical is different because we combine expert medical care with a highly personalized approach. Our patients receive one-on-one support, customized treatment plans, and a long-term wellness strategy designed to help them feel their best—not just quick fixes. Unlike traditional clinics, we are not restrained by insurance regulations therefore giving patients more time with their provider and offering treatments that are typically denied by health care insurance. Your provider has been specialty trained by WorldLink Medical for hormone optimization and is constantly undergoing training to provide the most up to date treatments.
